Academic Council
Since its foundation, the ITA has had a deep commitment to scholarship, and nowhere is this reflected better than in its Academic Council, made up of the top academics in the field of international arbitration. The Academic Council is a key constituent body of the ITA, intimately involved in its leadership, the preparation of its programs, and its publications and educational videos. It takes the lead in organizing the ITA-ASIL Conference each year in Washington, D.C. and actively participates in planning the ITA Workshop each June in Dallas.
Other Academic Council activities include:
Preserving Perspectives: International Arbitrators in Their Own Words
An ongoing series of oral history interviews with key figures to record the evolution of modern international arbitration in the words of those who have led it.
Legal Educators Resources Collection
This site is designed to collect and share syllabi, teaching notes, exams, and other original teaching materials prepared by international arbitration and dispute resolution instructors from around the world.
ITA Online Education Library
Here you will find a variety of educational videos and webinars edited for use by lawyers, professors, students, law firms and corporate legal departments seeking to understand or teach international arbitration, presented by the world’s leading experts in this growing area of international practice. (available for online viewing, on USB drive or on DVD, with CLE/CPD credits available)
Academic Council Newsletter
The Academic Council Newsletter is designed to make the ITA members and the arbitration community aware of the research conducted by the members of the ITA Academic Council, to keep you up to date with the activities of the Academic Council, as well as to keep the members of the Academic Council in touch.
